Writer's Block: Dreams

Talk about a recurring dream you've had, or talk about your most vivid dream. What makes it stick in your memory?

This isn't a recurring dream, no is it that vivid, I barely remembered it, even that same day.  What does make it remarkable is it's hilarity, and the events that followed.  Alright, so in December I had this dream; I can't remember exactly what had been happening, but I and my friends were being bullied by some large group.  At one point they forced me and my best friend Yoshi to kiss.  Just on the lips, not open mouthed.  I accepted it, but Yoshi really didn't want to do it.  Eventually he went ahead and pecked me on the lips, buthe pulled away so fast that the faceless crowd was angry and told us to do it again.  The second time, with a look of terror and disgust in Yoshi's eyes, our lips met and we held for a second before we broke.  That seemed to appease the crowd, and then I woke up.

I, of course, told Yoshi of this, because I found it hilarious, but then I completely forgot about it a week later.  In February Yoshi's birthday fell on a Saturday, so I took advantage of the situation by email the cast of Formal Dress Optional so that they could humiliate him at Rocky Horror on his birthday.  I think Timm was the MC that night, but whoever it was they were having a blast with Yoshi.  While Yoshi was performing his biggest, loudest, most erotic fake orgasm as a girl, Brian came up to me and asked if I sent the email.  I confessed and he said "Great", bringing me up to the front.  Then Yoshi and I had to reenact the scene from Lady and the Tramp except with a strand of twizzler instead of speghetti.  Yoshi's eyes were full of dread, but I personlly was fine with it.  We each put an end in our mouths and started eating, but Yoshi rushed it and then pulled away, leaving the whole twizzler dangling from my mouth.  The audience and cast began to boo him, and after some convincing he agreed to do it again.  Again, we each took an end an began to eat towards each other until our lips met in the middle, and after a second we pulled away, each with a half of the twizzler.

Now, might I remind you, that I have the memory of a burnout, without ever having done any drugs, so in those two months I had completely forgotten about my dream.  It wasn't until after the movie, when we were walking back to my van that Yoshi said to me "It was just like your dream."  I stopped dead in my tracks, I couldn't believe that everythinghad happened exactly like I dreamed and I didn't even remember it.  I mean, occasionally you'll get the deja vu feeling like you've done something or been somewhere before, but I didn't even get that during it.

And that is about it. Timm had a nice chuckle when he found out he made my dream come true.

Cartoon Logic with regards to underwater death

I just watched Robin Hood for the first time since I was a kid, and I noticed something that has been bugging me for a while.  In the world of the cartoon death underwater is proven if the character's hat floats up to the surface.  In the real world wouldn't you wait for more proof before you start lementing/rejoicing.  And this leads to more questions, like what if the character didn't wear a hat, how would you know if they had died?

Robin Hood (start at 1:00) http://youtube.com/watch?v=P8KycWVr5tE
James and the Giant Peach (Start at 2:40) http://youtube.com/watch?v=8CSS7cYSyag

I have so far found only one exception to this theory.
Brother Bear (start at 5:50) http://youtube.com/watch?v=uhIC6xufm2U
They find Sitka's torn hood, and Denahi accepts it as a sign of death, but Kenai keeps trying to search.  From the next scene it appears that the only other thing found is his necklace.
